Where the Wild Things Learn

What we’ve been up to this week!

Let me tell ya’ll, it has been a CRAY CRAY week.
And, hubs and I are in a wedding this weekend.
And, I have regionals for volleyball Sunday.
So needless to say, I have lots to share and little time!

Here’s a recap of our fun filled and action packed week!

Our WHYS (like PTO) did some ah-mazing things for teacher appreciation week! We had lunch served to us on Monday with these adorable “blue ribbon” cookies since we are a National Blue Ribbon School {ahem ahem, insert a little bragging here!} Our fourthies served all of the teachers breakfast on Tuesday (complete with waiter and waitress cards… too cute!) Wednesday they had another luncheon and got us these amazingly cute bags that is now my library book bag! And on Thursday we had ice cream sundaes from DQ with build your own toppings. Plus, I got some free Starbucks and Chipotle this week… I love TA week 🙂

Our school district cut field trips two years ago, so our kids were jumping for joy when they found out we got to walk to our intermediate school for our play called “The Princess and the Porcupine” put on by a local theatre company. It was a great, funny show and our kiddos loved it!!

We had SO much fun making our Mother’s Day crafts! We used recycled milk cartons to plant flowers, then wrapped tissue paper around them. The kiddos were so proud of them! Then, of course we made my “Mom You’re the Sweetest with a Cherry on Top!” craftivity and they were SO creative with them! I was in love with what they made 🙂

I haven’t gotten to play sand volleyball in 2 years because I’ve been SO busy coaching and I finally get to play again! So one of my former teammates and two coaches I coach with and I decided to play a CO-ED 4’s open league! We started off the season with a 3-0 night! I love the place we’re playing at 🙂

I completed my “Dad, I can’t measure my love for you!” creativity! My kiddos caught me finishing making it after planning one day, and wanted to make them right then! I love how they turned out 🙂 Do any of you do Father’s Day crafts?   1. I read all these posts about these awesome things people get for Teacher Appreciation week, and I'm super jealous. I may need to find a new school! One of my students brought me in a gift today (a Kit Kat bar and a $5 Subway gift card) and our school secretary set up a "candy bar" in the office which was pretty cute. Otherwise, we barely even got a "thank you" from anyone this week. So I bought myself Chipotle instead. 🙂

    I love your Mothers Day presents! Too cute! Those cupcakes are adorable.
