When I was in middle school we would have a shaving cream fight on the last day of school! It was SO much fun! Despite walking away with shaving cream up your nose, in your ears, burning your eyes, and in places you didn’t know it could get.. okay maybe it wasn’t THAT fun! Anywho, shaving cream is a tool that can be used for more purposes than shaving, right teachers?! I know you all have done the shaving cream on the desks to practice an activity. Welp, today I had a few spare minutes in my lesson, so I whipped out my shaving cream and drew a heart on every students desks before they walked into my room.
My yahoos were SO excited and anxiously talking when they saw their desk when they walked in the room! They could not believe it when I told them to make a mess of it and spread it out all over their desk! Who knew they had never done this before, and they’re in fourth grade?! I was excited to be the first one to do this with them 🙂 We ended up practice our spelling words and some vocabulary words until the shaving cream was all dried up! I then quickly sprayed each desk with a little water and let them wipe it with a paper towel. Our room smelled so fresh and so clean clean! And, they loved practicing 🙂
Another great thing about today? Three great give-a-ways to enter!!
