Happy Saturday, everyone! How’s your summer going? I feel like my summer has been as busy more busy than the school year! How does that always happen? Hubs and I have had places to be every weekend, things to get done around the house, I have had tons of masters work, and I’ve been in a gym coaching volleyball SO much. We are trying to stop and take some time to enjoy it before all the good weather leaves Ohio!
I’m linking up with the awesome Run! Miss Nelson’s Got the Camera for her Saturday snapshots linky! I {love} looking through everyones link-ups and seeing fun pictures of their life! I feel like it gives such a personal touch to these blogs and I get a better glimpse of the person behind the blog π
If you follow me on Instagram, you can guess what I was up to this week! One of my best girlfriends (who’s also a teacher) and I got together to get our craft on!
We put my favorite teaching tool to use, my personal laminator! Is it bad I get giddy to use this thing?!
All painted and ready to be put together!! Check back on Monday where I will share the finished product and a free template on Monday Made-it! π
This is a little bitter sweet for me. It is hard to see back to school supplies out on the shelves already, but I have a serious obsession with supplies, so it gets me sad and excited all at the same time! Target starting putting out there school stuff and I picked up these great finds!
Hubs and I went out to celebrate our 2nd wedding anniversary last night! We went to one of our favorite restaurants in Cleveland, Melt!! If you’ve seen Man Vs. Food or other shows on the Food Network I’m sure you’ve seen this place! They have some seriously awesome variations on grilled cheese, delicious fries and coleslaw! I got the Big Popper which is Jalepenos and a few kinds of cheese on thick toasted bread, all beer-battered and fried together. Hubby got a Chorizo and Potato grilled cheese which was scrumptious, too!
Here’s a few more pics from Vegas to share, too π
Our whole group/fam with one of the crazy New Zealand guys who we met and absolutely cracked us up!
Seeester and I with Mickey and Batman! Had to take this one to send to little Hayden who LOVES batman (if you remember from my post about batman visiting me at school!)
I’ve also been pinning away lately and wanted to share a few of my favorite pins and link upw ith First Grade Parade.

I love this idea for my word wall! I am revamping mine this year using my updated Turquoise, Lime, and Yellow classroom decor pack, and I’m thinking this will be my new one π I already have so many ideas for great ribbon in mind! And I think I’ll just use my blank label cards from the pack and add a little velcro to add words!

This is just an organization paradise, isn’t it? I just love the bright colors that match my room! I have considered getting rid of my desk at school, and I’m thinking this may be a great way to do it and still stay organized!

This links to so many cute, and effective common core aligned graphic organizers! I keep these all organized by fiction/nonfiction organizers in folders right behind my desk so I can grab them a copy real quick to use with any book for practice.

I use my Smartboard for my writing workshop timer and guidelines, and I absolutely love this Smartboard file with the T-chart, cute graphic, and timer. Definitely going to adapt for my own use π
Head on over to these two great linkys and join up! I look forward to reading your posts π
I am off to take a nice long bike ride with hubs through the valley, stop at a farmers market, and get some ice cream! Then we are off to a huge annual luau. It’s gonna be a fun Saturday π What do you have planned?
